Best ways to keep your Nutribullet Replacement parts clean

The very simplest way to clean your Nutribullet is the same as for any blender or blendstick, whizz it with some soapy water, with the one main rule - only use cold water.

For the same reason you only blend cold ingredients in your Nutribullet, hot or boiling liquid can cause your replacement parts to warp. Warped cups or blade units can lead to leaks and that's not going to do your Nutribullet any good at all.

Why you should clean you nutribullet blades thoroughly

Bits of food can become lodged under the blades, seeds such as raspberry seeds or Chia can become lodged in the smallest of gaps.

Basic food hygiene and your Nutribullet

We are sure you have heard enough about cleaning over the past year, but in much the same way, bacteria can become a problem in unhygienic

The four things that bacteria needs are food, warmth, water and time.

Take away any of these and you help prevent bacteria from breeding. So cleaning your blades and drying them thoroughly means you can be sure your smoothie is fit for purpose.

Cleaning Nutribullet blades

Using a bristle brush such as a washing up brush will dislodge any stubborn seeds or bits of food stuck under the blades.

It is not recommended that wash any part of your nutribullet replacement parts in a dishwasher. The high temperatures can warp plastic and compromise the seal between the blades and the cup or the gasket.

Three steps to great Nutribullet hygiene

1. Clean the cup and blades as soon as you have used it

Add soapy water to your Nutribullet cup, screw the blade back on and sit into the motor and press on for a few seconds.

If you have your smoothie on the move, fill it with soapy water at your earliest convenience.

2. Use a bristle brush to assist the removal of any bits of food

A bottle brush is perfect for the job, the flexible metal handle can be bent to fit behind the blades.

3. Dry it properly before the next use.

You can leave it to air dry but it is very important that all moisture is removed. If any water reamins it can get in to the motor and may cause your motor to burn out.

We hope this information helps you to keep your Nutribullet replacement blades, cups and lids nice and clean!
